Dean Christy

Dean Christy is a Canadian actor on film, TV, and stage. Dean is a veteran of live stage performance and was the managing director for Play with your Food Theatre company, in Victoria BC for 12 years. During the PWYF days Dean became known for his roles as Ryan O’Brien (Cement Shoes), Max Von Giegercounter (Hollywood S.L.E.A.S.E.), Hickory (Dorothy gets Scrooged), and Bubba/Chance/Mama (Murder on a Hot Tin Roof).


Starting later in life with film, Dean continues to pursue acting roles and commercials while working as a background actor in various TV shows and movies filmed in the Victoria and Vancouver area. His roles in projects include playing Richard in Octavian Kaul’s short film “LGBTQless,” acting in the UVIC student film “Witch Doctor".  Dean appeared in Mia Golden's  “Closing Walls” and Russell Munday's  “The World’s Greatest Director.” Dean also appeared as  Mr. Garvey in VC Secrets Production’s “Twilight’s Child.”

Most recently Dean has been filming three projects: Jack in "The Red Eye", Winner "Best Pilot" at the 2025 Vancouver international Film Festival and a Semi Finalist At the Calgary Indie Film Awards,  Ned in "Senior Discount" for Telus Story hive (still in post), and Charlie in "Hospice" for Story Hive and a full length feature of the same name. Expected release date late 2026.
